A Cure for the Flu
That's right. Forget all those old saying about medicine being able to cure cancer but not the common cold. It took a killer flu (bird flu epidemic) for companies to spend million, perhaps billions on a cure but we're almost there.
Clinical test will start later this year and mass production is targeted in 5 years. Why so long? Its a safety precaution, all such Vaccines must under go a minimum of 5 years of human testing before mass production. This new Vaccine will essentially prevent any and all kinds of flu from the bird flu to the common cold.
So in about 10 years, the flu might well be a thing of the past. Hmmm.... Don't know how I feel about that. I kinda enjoy the occasional sick day. Ah well, we'll adjust somehow.
