This guy is crazy talented! If I had to guess, I would say that this artist is not using a mouse but a digital pen to draw, but its still very impressive. Take a look!
I've followed Grease You're the one that I want since it first premiered back in January 7, 2007. For the uninformed, this is a reality contest much like American Idol. The twist is that the winners of this contest will be in the revival of Grease on Broadway which opens this summer 2007. So after winning the contest, the winners of Danny and Sandy will have almost no time before they have to appear on Broadway which in itself takes months of intense practice and rehearsals.
Its been a really fun journey of seeing all the open casting calls and seeing the final 14 Danny's and Sandy's selected. And from there the elimination process until the final 2 winners were chosen on Sunday 25th March 2007. As I said I've followed this show religiously. And I've had a definite favorite. Austin Miller. I've even been calling in every week to make sure that he wins. All that ended last week. It was the first time I didn't call in. The reason is that I could not decide between Austin or Max.
Let me give you a little lowdown. Austin is dubbed "HOT Danny". He's gorgeous, muscled and talented. Even from Day 1, it was obvious that he had tons more training and talent than just about all the other guys. Plus, I had seen Austin when he was starring as Link in Hairspray and I LOVED him. Then there's Max, dubbed "Slacker Danny". This guy did a COMPLETE 360. If you compare him on day 1 in open casting call and in the final showdown, he's a completely different person. You literally see his transformation every single week and I'll say this for him. He will never be labeled a hunk, he looks like a teenager, he's skinny and basically looks like a nerd, but part way thru the series you see an amazing transformation. And when he sings, you literally see how damn good and talented he is. You can envision him being Danny. His singing and acting skills are phenomenal. Needless to say the audience was equally separated. Among the girls Laura was the definite favorite and she won. She had that wholesome innocent look and was also able to transform into a hot Sandy. For the Guys, there was only a 1% margin separating Austin and Max. Max won and is will now play Danny on Broadway.
I'm very glad for him. From day 1 he was the underdog, but I have to say that he didn't win based on Sympathy votes. He truly was better between the singing showdowns against Austin. The only downside is that he looks scrawny, but then again with daily gym time and his amazing singing/acting, I think people will be able to accept him as Danny, Leader of the T-birds. Now my big decision is should I plan a trip to New York later this year? Hmmmm....
I first heard about Ebichu from eins several years ago and ever since I've been a total fan of this anime. It is an anime about a cute, family-friendly hamster that likes to keep the home tidy. However, the situations that said hamster puts herself in and/or is witness to are not exactly family-friendly situations.
It's hard to explain Ebichu, I think Wikipedia does it best:
Most episodes follow Ebichu, a talking hamster devoted to her oft-indifferent owner, who is only identified as OL (”Office Lady”), a single 25 year old (this is the age Japanese women are considered nearing the end of the ideal marrying age) who doles out cynical commentary and the occasional beating on the rodent. Ebichu tends to take this in stride with endless praise and compliments. However, such abuse is usually caused by Ebichu’s almost disturbing lack of tact or propriety, often embarrassing her master in front of other people.
Anyway, I tried uploading this on youtube months ago but the files were simply too large. I'm glad someone managed to shrink them and now everyone can enjoy Ebichu. This is the very first episode. I highly recommend it.
Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 is a game where you can build your own Rollercoaster and essentially a theme park. If you've never played it you should try it out, it even lets you ride the Rollercoasters you create.
This guy made a park where all the people fill up in one path and then he sets up half a roller coaster. See what happens!
I know it might be a little presumptious to crown KyleXY as the best new TV series when fall is right round the corner and there's a bunch of new shows premiering. But I LOVE this show.
Its story and character driven, its got a great cast, and Matt Dallas has my vote for best newcomer. It might be a little touchy feely for some but remember this series is being broadcast by ABC Family, not one of those major networks.
In case you're unfamiliar with the series, it revolves around this boy (about 16 years old) who wakes up in the middle of the forest, naked and with no memory. Everything is new to him including speech. He's taken in by a social worker and her family and the story develops.
At the series conclusion of 9 episodes which aired on Monday, we're left with a cliffhanger. Kyle finally get's some answers and why people are after him.
If you read this blog, its no surprise that I love Hugh Jackman. Here's him getting punk'd and it was a really good one.
FYI, Punk'd is an MTV show produced by Astchon Kutcher. They basically play elborate tricks on famous people. I might think that some of the punk'd episodes are over the top and cruel but I have to admit some of them (like this one) are really good.
and just cos I can, here's the skit he did on Saturday Night Live
OK this is a long video (about 11 mins) and it was done by teens with too much time but it followed so true to the japanese RPG's we play on the Playstation.
If you've ever played Japanese RPG's, this is gonna make you laugh your ass off. Oh and watch it all the way to the end. The way the boss was finally killed cracked me up.
