I got a Personal Chief !

Well... close enough to a personal chief. I signed up with Seattle Sutton! Basically I pay them $125 (+$15 delivery fee) a week and I get 21 meals delivered to me, breakfast lunch and dinner, 2000 calories a day. So its almost like having a personal chief.

This is my latest effort to lose weight. Also it does allow me to get more variety in my diet. Currently I cook a big pot of something and it lasts 3days - a week. It does get boring after a while. And $125 isn't really expensive, considering I don't have to grocery shop any more, which can get expensive when you see all all the other junk food. Anyway, I'm trying it out for a few weeks and see if I like it.
My first food delivery. The food was delivered in this cool temperature controlled bag.

This is what 4 days of food looks like. Thursday's dinner thru Monday's Lunch. and the next delivery is Monday.
This is my first Seattle Sutton meal. Chips with salsa, a corn salad and Taco pie. It was pretty good, but I've got to get used to the portions.

Here's some other meals.

BananaGuard

You know the feeling, just when you fancy eating that banana you've been carrying around, you dig it out from the bottom of your bag to discover it looks like it has gone a few rounds with Mike Tyson.
How many times have you taken your banana to work or school only to find it transformed into a black inedible mess?
Only hours before your banana was perfect, now it is just fit for the bin.

You need BANANAGUARD!

I swear to God, this is a real product! People will buy the dumbest shit! I mean a banana guard isn't THAT wierd. But paying about US$8 for a banana that costs about 20-30 cents?

Wash away merrily with these animal soaps and eventually they wear away to reveal their skeletons!

Seems those crazy Brits have a new craze going on. The only site selling these soaps are in the UK. Who knows this might become a fad and get sold around the world!

Candy Scabs

Totally gross! You know what we're talking about. You've skinned your elbow while crashing your bicycle getting extreme over a gnarly jump in your neighborhood. You cry to your mommy and she gently places a bandage over the bloody spot. Two days later, you peel back the bandage to re-assess the damage. That same spot is now oozy in the middle and crusty at the edges! SO NASTY! You know you want to lick that puss spot.... don't deny it.... and now you can.... with Candy Scabs!

Each pack includes candy scabs and 5 plastic bandages which are stickable just like a real bandage. A plastic compartment on the bandage opens to reveal a pressed dextrose candy scab. Open the compartment, lick the candy, and reseal for licking later!

Hehehe might get this for my niece and nephew :)

Buy them here. A little pricy but quite unique.

Edy's Slow Churn Ice Cream

There's an article in the New York Times about Creamy, Healthier Ice Cream.

Basically, Edy's or Dreyer’s ice cream came up with a new method of creating Ice Cream that's much lower in fat content and tastes great. Its done using protein cloned from the blood of an eel-like Arctic Ocean fish.

According to the article this product has been around since 2004, but I recently bought this slow churned ice cream about 2-3 weeks back (first time I've ever seen it). I've tried them all, low fat, sherbert, fat free, you name it, but this slow churned ice cream really is very very very good. I honestly could not tell that it was low in fat.

And not only did it taste wonderful, the nutritional content was actually lower in calories and fat compared with most fat free ice creams I compared it with! If you can find it in your grocery I highly recommend it.

Mosquito Ring Tones

If you read the New York Times today, you'll have definately read an article about a Ring tone that only children can hear.

Evidently, as we age our hearing gets worse. And a british company come up with sounds that only children can hear. Well... some smart ass made those sounds into a ringtone and uploaded them on the web and people are calling them Mosquito Ring Tones :)

If you find a working link let me know! I wanna see if my hearing is that of an adult or if I'm still as young as I feel.

Update:
Click here to hear the tone. Thanks Eins.

And I'm still not sure if I can hear it. Is it supposed to be this really really high pitch sound that sets my hair on end? Almost like the sound you hear when you switch on the TV sometimes or when you experience feedback from a mike?

If that's the sound, then I can't see people making it their ring tones. Way too easy to miss it imo.

Soda in a Bottle

As you know I love shopping at Costco. This week I found this little gem. Its soda in a bottle. I know this isn't a "new" thing but... this one just appealed to me somehow. I've tried all 3 and I absolutely love the Black Cherry. There's just something about drinking soda from a bottle that plastic just can't mimic.

PS. IF you don't like diet, this is also sold as regular soda.

What's a Goji?

Found this item on amazon. A fruit that I'd never heard of before. Goji. I like finding things like this. Nice to know that in this jaded world we live in, there are still simple things like fruit that we've never heard of.

Now the question is should I spring the $14 to try a fruit that I might hate.
